An Emergency Services District (ESD) is a grassroots government created by voters in an area to fund fire protection, emergency medical services, or both. More than 300 districts are operating in Texas, and more are added at almost every uniform election date.
Emergency Service District #2
The Henderson County ESD 2 Commissioners are appointed by the Henderson County Commissioners Court.
The Mission of Henderson County ESD 2 is to be the leading emergency service district by meeting the needs of our community in fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical response in the most cost-effective manner possible.

The Vision of Henderson County ESD 2 is to utilize and improve the skills and dedication of our staff and volunteers and to constantly improve operations and services for the citizens of Henderson County.
